In this online workshop I will show you how to start with plain white canvas, duck cloth, denim or cotton and alter the surface with layers of paint to create surfaces rich with texture and imagery. You’ll learn different ways for creating and using silkscreens including drawing your own using Jacquard drawing fluid and screen filler. Techniques for applying both textile and metal leaf foiling will be explored as well as stamping using your own hand made stamps and found objects and ways to add text to the surface including using a paint filled syringe. I’ll also show you how to turn your gorgeous new hand painted cloth into a fabric journal packed with blank, fabric and mixed media pages!

Learn my super easy method for dyeing solid and tone on tone fabrics. My method for dyeing fabric is very easy and tends to produce a fabric with an unevenly colored surface which I prefer because it makes for a more interesting piece of fabric to work with. You won’t be believe just how easy it is to dye your own fabric!
