   | It feels like ages since I’ve posted but it’s really only been a few weeks. I’ve been working on some new things and one of them is a new weaving project: I’m weaving this “fabric”with some very cool newspaper yarn from Darn Good Yarn. it’s a little tricky to work with because it’s so [...] it’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a weaving Wednesday post because the loom has been empty so there wasn’t anything to post about. I remedied that this past weekend though and decided that it was time to start thinking about weaving some holiday gifts. I recently bought several cones of rayon chenille with [...] remember the fabric I showed you I was weaving last week? Well here it is cut from the loom: The bottom piece is done with cotton batik and left to right on the top is cotton with a touch of gold metallic print on it,hand dyed silk cotton blend,commercial hand dyed cotton,[...] I decided to move my weaving updates to Wednesdays since “weaving wednesday”sounds a bit more lyrical than “what’s on the loom fridays”. I may not have an update every week but if there’s something on the loom I’ll be posting about it on Wednesdays and so …. I decided to pull out my [...] This week the loom has been warped up with some beautiful natural colored organic 3/2 cotton. I bought about 10 pounds of this yarn years ago and wove a ton of washcloths with it that went into some gift packages with some locally purchased hand made soaps.
