I’ve been doing a lot of surface design on canvas fabric over the last couple of weeks and I’ve managed to generate several yards of fabric to work with…
I’ve been working on making up some sample journals in preparation for my class at San Diego Book Arts in October. I haven’t been doing a lot of surface design the last year or so and I forgot how much fun it was to break out the paints and the silk screens and splash around in some paint. I took a few of the painted surfaces and created a couple new sample journals:
I’ve packed the insides of these journals with hand painted pages, fabric pages with papers, folders and envelopes and pockets stitched to them.
They’re nice thick journals measuring about 9″x 6 x 4″
and they each have pockets on the two inside flaps as well. You can get more information about the workshop at the SDBA on their website here.
