Today was open studio day with my friends Sue,Kathy and Kathleen. We get together once a month in my studio, spread out and get our hands dirty with paint and today’s visit was no exception to that. Before everyone arrived I covered one of my work tables with some plastic and a large piece of canvas:
and then everybody grabbed a paintbrush and a pot of paint and we started painting…
and painting…
and the finished fabric when we were finally done 2 hours later…
We had a grand time doing this! The finished piece measures about 36″x 66″and once it’s completely dry I am going to cut it into 8 strips and we’ll each get two to make something with. I think I am going to make mine into some grocery totes because I like the idea of my groceries coming home in something bright and fun that I created with friends.

Oh I LOVE this idea. This would be such a fun challenge to do with friends!
What a wonderful,and colorful,idea!
That’s a wonderful cloth. I hope you get first choice for being the hostess, although it would be hard to choose.
Looks like you girls had fun. I’ve been wanting to do this again too.
What a wonderfully creative idea! I am sure it was super fun! Patsy from HeARTworks
Oh what fun!
What a fun idea. I might have to try this with some of my friends!
