GAME ON FOLKS!

The much anticipated start of the Sketchbook Challenge has arrived!

Jill Berry chose the first theme and I think it’s perfect.  HIGHLY PRIZED is theme we’re all working with in January and I began the same way I usually begin any new challenge:with a list…

I’m a big fan of making lists.  They’re the first thing I turn to when I’m not sure what I want to work on and this list will be my guide as I work in my sketchbook throughout the month of January.

Read all about the sketchbook challenge and how you can be eligible for the awesome prizes up for grabs on the sketchbook challenge blog here.

  • I just heard about the Sketchbook Challenge through a fellow BBEST member, and think this may be something worth trying. I begin creative projects (especially writing!) in the same way you do:with lists. It sounds counter-intuitive in that folks tend to think of list-making as logical and ordered, but in reality you’re making unconscious associations from one line to the next, just letting the creativity flow and the “Editor”take a back seat.

  • I’m pleased you liked the tutorial.
I am enjoying the Sketchbook Project and following the blog regularly. What a wonderful studio space.

  • Sounds like a great start to the challenge and to 2011–can’t wait to see how this develops. Keep us posted!
