I haven’t posted many finished projects lately because I just haven’t had a chance to photograph them. I finally got some time today to set up the photo equipment and take some photos. Here’s a couple of things I’ve been working on in the studio the last couple of weeks:
First up,some new notebooks for 2010 projects:
I used some nice 70lb drawing paper in these notebooks. I buy the large drawing paper pads (18″x24″) and then cut the pages to fit whatever sized book I am making. I had a lot of scrap cut off pages left over from when I made the custom order book here so I used them to make the insides of all of these notebooks. The one in the center in the photo above has a fused fabric collage made from scraps on the front and that one and the one below it in the photo measure 5″x8″.
These ones are a little larger –6″x8″. All of these have 30-40 pages in them and the smaller size makes them a perfect size to use for my Creative Cue drawings.
Another project I recently finished was another bag made using Texture Magic:
This bag measures about 10″x10″x3 1/2″,leather handles, silk lining, magnetic snap close. Black velvet is impossible to get a good photo of but I think you can see the nice surface texture that this bag has. I really like working with the Texture Magic product and I’ve got a few more projects in mind for it that I’ll share with you once they’re finished…

I would love to know the specifics of this handbag.

Wow,you have been busy! These are all beautiful!
You have been a busy girl and the results are beautiful. That texture magic is exactly that…magic. The black velvet bag is gorgeous. I must try my package of texture magic. Your spiral notebooks are very lovely and look like they will be handy for drawings. The fact that they are spiral will allow them to lie flat and that is very nice. Beautiful beginning to this new year.
Love the books,Sue. And the handbag is to DIE for. I started a Texture Magic bag today…a little bit funky, but that stuff is really cool.
Great notebooks and the bag is beautiful. Is that for all of your formal evenings out? I’ve got the texture magic but no time to try it out yet!
They are all great. A good way to start the year.
Gorgeous handbag Sue! Love all the sketchbooks too.
