I am going to be teaching a box making class at the Danforth in the spring so I've been busy making up samples of the projects that students will be making. It's going to be a six week class and I think we'll get to make at least 5 different boxes. The first one will be this basic box:
This box is fairly easy to make and goes together quickly. These two are about 3 1/4"square. Once you learn the basic construction technique for this box you can expand on it and easily create it in other sizes:
this one is about 5"x 3". All of these boxes have attached flip up lids:
and this one is a great one for storing pens,markers and pencils in:
It measures approximately 6"x 3". I think the class will have fun making these.
