     | Well I just couldn't be any more excited about this announcement: I am going to be teaching some classes at the Danforth Museum of Art starting in January! I'll be teaching a Creative Books and Journals class that will run for 10 weeks and a Fabric Dyeing and Painting class that will run for [...] I've been playing with this technique for creating books for a while now and I am really pleased with the way it works. A combination of cheesecloth,tissue paper and paint it creates a nice flexible hinge for the covers to move and the texture on the surface is really fabulous. This first one [...] You'll remember that I mentioned that I was working on developing a box making for the fiber artist class. Well I also want to create a paper and book board box making class as well. I am finding though that making boxes with paper and book board is not quite as easy or forgiving as [...] It's been a while since I made any new fabric journals. I've been working on these for a few days and finished them up this morning. All of these are now in my shop. I've got one more to finish up for a custom order and then I can get focussed on the [...] I spent the weekend putting the finishing touches on some new journals for the shop: I love that penguin one and the mittens are too much fun. I couldn't resist buying a sheet of that paper when I saw it. All of these are in the shop here. And in other project [...] Terri got an advanced copy of her new book today! I am so happy for her I could burst! She's taking pre-orders for it on her blog. Just look on the left side of the screen. I can't wait for my copy to arrive cause I've got a project in it too:[...] I picked up a couple of pre-made diary text blocks the last time I ordered book making supplies. I bound the one on the right using a faux leather book cloth and when you hold it in your hand you'd swear was real leather. These text blocks are set up so that they are applicable [...] I fell in love with this new group of fabrics called "Taxi"by Timeless Treasures so I ordered up a set of fat quarters from Keepsake Quilting. They've been sitting on my work table for weeks until yesterday when I decided to work with them and turn them into a quilted message board: Measures [...] Boy I'm glad this is done! I hate it when I have something on the to do list for too long. It's impossible to get a good picture of this jacket.
