A new stack of journals

I’ve been working on this stack of journals for the last week and put the finishing touches on them this morning.

Some faux paper bag leather ones:

and some new fabric ones:

All of these are in my etsy shop.

Next on my to do list is to start working on a new silk fusion class. I’m hoping to have this new class ready to run in October. You can see some of my silk fusion pieces on my gallery page here.

I’ve been playing with paper bag surfaces a lot lately too. Here’s one of the pieces I recently finished:

This vase stands about 12″high. Maybe I’ll put together a paper bag surfaces class too, what do you think? Any interest in a class that is all about creating faux surfaces and projects using paper bags?

Yes please Sue. Love the idea of a class.

  • Those journals are simply gorgeous! ^___^ (I’ve such a love for notebooks that it embarrasses me on occasion.) The bird one is particularly beautiful, especially with the blue trim.
    Wonderful work!

  • Yes! Everyone seems just mesmerized that that faux leather started out life as an ordinary paper bag! I’m sure people would be interested in a paper bag surfaces class. Best Wishes!
