paper bag jewelry

I wish I could get a better photo of this bracelet done with paper bags. There’s a layer of foiling beneath the surface so this has a nice subtle bit of shimmer when the light hits it. That shimmer is so hard to pick up with the camera.

I used one of those [...]

New books

A few months back I bought a package of vintage french papers from Stampington during one of their special sales. It had some very cool papers in it but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with them so I just tucked them in a drawer and forgot about them. The other day I [...]

A new stack of journals

I’ve been working on this stack of journals for the last week and put the finishing touches on them this morning.

Some faux paper bag leather ones:

another piano hinge journal

I am putting the finishing touches on the last lesson for my new “More Journal Making for the Fiber Artist”online class and I wanted to make one more piano hinge sample. I was wandering around the craft store the other day and came across these cool artificial willow stems and so I bought a [...]

a little bit about me…

The questions “what if”or “how can I”are the ones that motivate me the most in the studio.  It’s the exploration of finding and discovering new ways to manipulate and embellish paper and fabric that drive me into the studio and inspire me every day.

I rarely work in flat surfaces except [...]

Thank you &a Give away

It’s been a bit crazy around here for the last couple of weeks. We’re knee deep in getting issue 5 of Fibre&Stitch ready for publication and I’ve got a bunch of new projects on the worktable that I’ll hopefully have pictures of to share with you soon. In the meantime I wanted to do 2 [...]
